Okay, I’ve been thinking about this disastrous hyper-inflationary thing they call the Stimulus Bill. This thing that will destroy our savings, ruin our monetary system, and make us all wage slaves in our lifetimes.
This thing that shows President Obama for the big-talking, inexperienced, glad-handing idiot he truly is.
We tried to flood our Congressman — our representatives and Senators — with phone calls to stop the passage of the Stimulus Bill. It almost worked. We tried to do it again with the Compromise Bill. That almost worked, too, except for three RINOs who would not follow party lines. Three RINOS who refuse to stick to the tenets of conservatism — morals, ethics, principles, fiscal conservatism — They betrayed conservatism, just like they betrayed conservatism when they voted against Bill Clinton’s impeachment ten years ago, and pretty much have done so ever since.
We could have stopped this thing . . . except for Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Arlen Specter.
We need to get this party back on track, and right now. We need to circle the wagons, and we don’t need anyone in the circle shooting arrows from within. We need to do three things to define the Party as we want it to be.
First, we need to Define our Principle the Party observes. Whether these are Glenn Beck’s Nine Principles and 12 Values,, or Russell Kirk’s Ten Conservative Principles, Ronald Reagan’s Five Conservative Principles, or TCOT’s Four Conservatives Principles. It doesn’t matter right now. Michael Steele needs to get Busy and define the principles the Republican Party will live by.
Guidelines are good things when we’re all trying to get to the same place. Road maps save time.
Second, we need to throw out those who wear the name “Republican” but don’t work for and support conservative principles. We can start with Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Arlen Specter. We make the announcement that they are no longer associated with, members of, or supported by the Republican Party. We remove the “R” from their nameplates in the Senate. We stop inviting them to Republican functions and celebrations. We actively nominate and campaign for actual, real Republican candidates in their districts.
Look, if somebody wants to play softball on my team, then doesn’t catch a single ball, never hits a single line drive, and can’t get the other players out, They won’t be on my team long at all. And if they’re actively working with the competing team — I’ll throw them off the field myself. They are worse than useless — they’re counterproductive. They’re third column agents. They’re traitors to the cause.
Harsh, but true. Get rid of them. Make it a priority. It does no good to count them in our column when they’re really Democraps in disguise. Call these spades spades and work to get real conservatives in those positions.
Finally, Send the money back.
Start the phone banks again. Blog it, Fax it, Phone it, Tweet it, E-mail it. Let your Governor know. Let your mayor know. Let your City Councilmen and State Representatives know.
Do NOT spend this money. Do NOT accept this money. Send this money back to the Federal Government, now. Yes, I know there’s a provision that the states can’t refuse the Stimulus money. So what? What are they going to do; send the 101st Airborne to secure the state of Texas and force Governor Perry to spend it?
I’d like to see them try.
Will everyone do it? Nope, probably not. Will some of them do it? Oh yeah, if we put the pressure on them. A lot of the Red State Governors will. Sarah Palin will, I bet.
Be like Sarah Palin. Turn the money back to Obama. Send the money back. All of it. Now.
