The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory.
President Government’s approval has gone below 50% – Zogby has him at 48% today. Rasmussen, too. Only 29% of Americans (the O-bot Cult) strongly approve of President Government’s performance. 53% now say that Mr. Post-Partisan is a partisan Democrat.
Spin it, trolls. It’s somehow Bush’s fault, no doubt. Either that, or rather that the hype of Obama – perhaps the greatest in modern history – is not living up to the reality of Obama.
Honeymoon’s officially over for Lightworking, Post-Racial, Post-Partisan, Non-Ideological Great Uniter of the Earth and Universe.
Heh. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. And let’s be clear on this; after the (alleged) President started insulting cops (y’know — the “thin blue line” — the heroes who gave their lives on 9-11? Those guys?) — his unfavorable rating dived from -7 to the current -11; that’s over a 50% downward slide in just four days.
Today is the first Obama Approval Index based entirely upon polling conducted after the press conference, during which Obama made his infamous “stupidly” remark. Likely voters obviously do not approve of the president’s ObamaGates controversy – the number of likely voters who strongly disapprove of Obama’s performance has gone up 5% since the press conference.
The more likely voters find out President Obama, the less they care for him and his extremely liberal policies. According to Rasmussen, Obama is now seen as politically liberal by 76% – up six points from a month ago and 11 points since he was elected. Forty-eight percent now see Obama as very liberal – up 20 points since he was elected.
And it doesn’t appear to be just an Obama thing. Libertarian Republican notes that California’s Barbara Boxer, she who likes to condescends to African-American businessmen and to chew out decorated generals just because she can is in a lot of trouble too:
A slew of new poll findings have come out of California via Rasmussen. Interestingly, Barbara Boxer’s unfavorables are now up to 50%. Her likely GOP challenger, former HP CEO and former McCain for President Campaign Spokeswoman Carly Fiorna, is now within striking distance: 45% for Boxer to 41% for Fiorina.
This is officially the fastest Fall From Grace I can remember in my adult life — and I first voted for Jimmy Carter 30 years ago. Even Ronald Reagan didn’t garner so much displeasure; nor did Carter fall so quickly.
